Aegean Region is located in western part of Turkey. Aegean Sea is on the west, Central Anatolia region on the east, Mediterranean region on the south and Marmara region on the north of this region. Turkish Riviera starts from this region where you can discover southwestern shores of Turkey in a Blue Cruise. Some of the notable places to visit:

Izmir, the biggest city of the region, has many interesting places to see including old Greek village of Şirince (famous for wine & olive oil) , House of Virgin Mary and the ancient city of Ephesus in Selçuk town, beautiful coastal towns of Foça and Çeşme, ancient city of Pergamon in Bergama town.

Aydın, a wonderful nature with the mixture of olive, fig and citrus trees, has coastal resorts such as Didim (with the large temple of Apollo and the ancient city of Miletus, Priene and Didyma) and Kuşadası (with National Park), ancient city of Aphrodisias and beautiful Maeander River (Büyük Menderes).
 
 

Denizli, famous for rooster, has got the ancient Hierapolis and beautiful Pamukkale (Cotton Castle in Turkish) in the valley of River Menderes, Tripolis (Phyrgia) and well-decorated Seljuk caravanserais.

Kütahya has some notable forest recreation areas, hot springs and mosques which are worth to see while Afyon has Ulu Camii (The Great Mosque), Altıgöz Bridge and the Castle of Karahisar to offer. Another city of the region, Uşak has got the rich collection of Karun (Croesus) Treasure in its museum. The city is also famous for its carpets.

In Manisa, the Mount Sipylus national park is a wonderful point for nature lovers since it provides opportunity for camping and mountaineering and it has got a remarkable number of native plants. Sardis, the ancient capital of Lydia is in town of Salihli. Kula region (town of Manisa) is often referred as Cappadocia of Aegean Region because of interesting rock formations. Kula houses are good examples of Ottoman architecture.
 
Muğla is probably the one with most alternatives. Bodrum (formerly Halicarnassus), an international center of tourism, has Bodrum Castle as a historical attraction and gulets (local boats) for a unique Blue Voyage. Datça Peninsula is one of the best of Turkey hosting beautiful villages around it as well as the antique city of Knidos. Marmaris and around is a must-see for those who are in love forest, sea and beautiful nature together. Lake Köyceğiz is located in town of Köyceğiz which is ideal for those who are bored of mass tourism. Fethiye and Ölüdeniz are also in this city but they are part of Mediterranean Region.
