Discovering Albania

Albanian sunset

I have found a great video about Albania while surfing on youtube. Click here to watch the video. It is really nice and indeed it is difficult to find quality videos introducing Albania. Visit this beautiful country for your next holiday.

While surfing on Flickr, I have found an old postcard of Albania. It belongs to the series of 1950's Topps "Flags of the World" Trading Card. You can see whole set here which is uploaded by Marxchivist.

Don't you think the card is peaceful? I think nothing of Albanian pure landscape and friendly people has changed much since then. Really nice.

Still beautiful and untouched

Lake Fierza, Albania

My colleague wrote some nice words about Albania since he knows there better than me. I will go there as soon as I have the chance. Because it seems that nobody knows much about Albania and the beauties it has. So,

Europe's beautiful country offers the individual visitor many highlights. Nowhere else you can find kilometres of unspoilt sandy beaches without ugly hotels and plastic umbrellas. Here you will find your own Robinson place to swim and walk close to the turquoise Ionian Sea.

Would you like to experience Alpic landscapes with Mediterranean vegetation, charming villages, friendly people, without ski-lifts... and all just a few kilometres from the blue coasts of Adriatic and Ionian Sea?

Would you like to experience the atmosphere of genuine medieval Balkan-Ottoman towns?

Albania is perfect for you then.
